Phoenix is no longer with me. He passed away on March 22, 2011. I was not prepared to lose him this early – he would have been 5 years old in April. I can’t say enough good things about him. He was truly a unique and magnificent animal.

Hi I am so sorry to lose them is hard at any age, I might have told you that my first dobermans name was Phoenix it’s why your blog just happened to catch my eye!! He only lived to 3 and 1/2 he had an autoimmune disease so I sure know how ya feel. I hope you have gone on to have another one they all have such wonderful personalities! I now have two and I love them very much the oldest is 8 and 1/2 and the youngest is almost a year now.
